On July 27, 2000, The webmaster for the LSM 137 web site recived the following E-mail:
Good afternoon,
I was doing some research on my grandfathers service during WWII
and found your site. I have photos from Typhoon Louise and
he had taken a picture of LSM-137. I was very excited to
track some information down on this event. I will be
scanning them all and there are many from the typhoon and the
damage. My grandfather served aboard the USS Minotaur ARL-15
but sadly there is little information on the ship. Once
scanned if you would like to post these pictures I would gladly
send them, they are in great shape and would love to share them.
Thank you for the info that you have provided and if you have any
for me it would be great to hear from you.
Regards,

George Nevers wife, David Borg's
grandmother, reports that George Nevers acted as the ships
photographer, though not in an official capacity. She still
has the camera and uses it today.
